The Rochester Area Booksellers Association (RABA) welcomes you, and invites you to visit our shops online and in person.
The Rochester New York area has a rich cultural heritage that has resulted in an unusually high concentration of great books and diverse booksellers for a city of its size.
Rochester has been home to historic figures like Frederick Douglass, Susan B. Anthony, and George Eastman, and is still today a rich community that thrives with leading universities such as the University of Rochester and Rochester Institute of Technology and world class businesses such as Kodak, Xerox, and others. All of these things have kept a strong and steady supply of wonderful books flowing through the shelves of our shops.
Even many of those who live in or around Rochester may not be aware of what a great area this is for book lovers. If you love books and will be traveling through our area, be sure to visit all of our shops. Click on the bookshop names of the booksellers on our site for more information regarding hours and for links to individual member databases.
